Eh...what does this suppose to do?
I found a couple of mp2 files that were named as .mp3 and a thought I'd convert them to mp3. With only one mp3 file selected (not one of those needed to be converted) in Playing now, I chose Tools -> More tools -> Convert format. The only thing that happens is that MC is hanging and my harddrive has alot of activity.
Tried it again with another file selected and same thing happens...
Any explanations?
MC BUILD .164

Clarification: I used the Menu option Tools, not right-click...

Your converting a known mp3 to mp3? To do what? Reduce the bitrate? Sounds like MC is having trouble due to your source and destination filename being the same (is the destination dir different than source?).

Actually, I haven't converted anything to anything at all! I just chose Tools -> More Tools -> Convert Format. No options to select format or files or anything... :(

So it's hanging right before the dialog box shows. Didn't see that in B165 or (now) B166. It has no problem converting an mp3 to a mp3. MC appends the file name with a (1). Does this happen on ANY mp3 (and other formats)? Install B166 and if it still occurs then backup your lib/license...uninstall MC...reboot...reinstall MC...restore.

edit: blew those build numbers...fixed

My 9.0.166 Works.

Sorry, complete uninstall/reinstall didn't help... Although right-click Convert works...
