Title: Request: Fixing some Handheld sync playlist export issues
Post by: Marty3d on January 12, 2020, 03:15:57 pm
This is about MC 25.0.115, but I'm guessing the development is halting there, so I would like to raise this for MC 26.

I would like to request the following within Handheld sync:
1. Fix the playlist export for M3U relative path. The list of files are using absolute paths, not relative.
2. Add an option to use forward slashes

Since I upgraded my Samsung s10e to Android 10, I can no longer use the exported playlists when doing handheld sync. No matter what version of M3U in the Playlist format section, it fails, because of the backslashes (previous discussion here: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,123384.msg854645.html).

Current workaround:
1. Sync phone with Playlist format: M3U relative path
2. Copy playlists to computer from the phone
3. Run a search and replace on each file ('\Music\' to '../Music/')
4. Copy them back to the phone

It would save so much time and effort if the two above points would be implemented. Any thoughts? Thank you!!!

Bump - This exactly explains the issue I have been having since I upgraded my phone!
I am happy to do some beta testing

Yep... until this is fixed I'm not upgrading any more. Fix it on 26 or I will find something else
