Title: Correct setup for multichannel.
Post by: burnhamjs on January 17, 2020, 07:36:32 am
Was having a few issues with multichannel last night.  Can't seem to replicate the issue but basically I was only get output from my L&R channels while watching movies with a Dolby soundtrack.  Ended up having to select "Dolby" under DSP_Output Encoding to get sound out of all 6 channels.

Anyway - all seems better today, but I just wanted to verify the proper setup for JRiver

DSP>Output Encoding:  Set this to "None" which will allow JRiver to use audio processing offered by Media Center. This includes VideoClock, Room Correction, parametric equalization, normalization, etc

DSP>Channels:  Set this to the number of channels in your system (5.1 in my case).  OR should this be set to "source number of channels"

Any other sound setup that I should consider?  (Eventually I will get to the "Room Correction" and "Parametric Equalization" and will turn off any Audyssey processing in the AVR)

To what and how are you connecting the output?
