Title: Updates cause re-importing?

Hi all,

Is it normal for various updates to cause a re-Import of the library?  If so, this is very annoying as it mucks up various “sort by imported date” views I use and also means I have to go aNd retag a lot of items because their original tags have dodgy data in them.  I don’t really want to retag hundreds of files after each update.

Is there anyway I can get around this?

Updating MC doesn't start an import.

You can store corrected tags in the files.  Take a look at the wiki and the tagging tools.
