Title: JRemote not handling .cue files properly when playing "from this device"
Post by: Opawesome on January 27, 2020, 08:06:34 am
Hi all,

JRemote may not be handling .cue files properly when playing flac image files "from this device" (i.e. locally) when connected to a remote MC25 library server. It shows the various tracks but when I launch one track, it reads the whole "CDImage.flac" from the beginning as one big track.

The .cue files are fine and they play well when JRemote is used as a "remote", i.e. to control a remote server and play "on the remote device" (as opposed to locally).

Any idea ?

With thanks,

After further testing, I noticed that the issue does not occur if you disable "Use native audio format" in JRemote. If I understand well, this causes the .flac file to be trans-coded in .mp3 format on the server before being sent to the playback device running JRemote.
