Hey all - long time no post.
MC is still the greatest and I recommend it widely to anyone who'll listen.
Just upgraded to MC26 and I have a lot of view schemes, frequently used expression sets, not to mention general settings, that I'd rather not have to re-create.
I usually fool around in the the registry and extract what I need to to transpose, then re-implant it in the right spot.
But, let's face it, that's pretty dodgy. There must be an easier way?
How can I export settings and the like from MC19 and import them into MC26?
Cheers
Mark

Backup in MC19. Restore in MC26.
It's possible you may need to do an intermediate step. (i.e., MC19 > MC22 > MC26). See Old Versions on the wiki, if needed.

Thanks Jim. I should've remembered that myself.
BTW, no imtermediate step was needed!
Another 'setting' that I would like to port is the way fields in the tag window are selected.
I really just want the tag window to show the fields that are in the current view.
(That's why I made my various media and task specific views the way I did.)
Can MC26 do as shown in the attachment?

Just a note:
Backup/Restore works great in MC26 Normal install.
However ... Settings are not currently included in the Backup when backing up from an MC26 Portable install:
