Title: Line-in Recording with JRiver MC 24

LINE-IN RECORDING WITH JRMC24
Need help:
How can i record within MC24 audio signals from the PC sound card, specially the line-in input channel.
There are some hints, that this function was removed after version 18 or so, but in other commens it is stated, that this is only true for Mac and Linux.
However i cannot find any detail description?
The problem i like to solve is the following, the recording from audiosignals from my AV receiver, like old LP records or other signals. Some people propose to use a different audio program for recording and after recording integrate the audio file into MC24. But i don't like this work arount, i prefer a one shop solution.
Thanks in advance for any answer.

as far as i remember JRiver could never record.

For recording use audacity (PC, free of charge) or Soundforge, Cubase, Audition, Garage (Mac) etc.

You can write to a file as the output device iirc, comes out as a wav.  Better to use something like audacity though.
