The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Lose ?
I forgot how to print a listing of all albums contained in the data base.
Cannot remember the right keyword to find it.
HELP :-[
Thanks in advance. :-*

Hi,
- select the whole library or a subset if you want
- In the properties pane select Statistics (upper box)
- Then in the bottom box choose "Albums" or "Artist/ALbum"
- Click on the Print Button
- Don't forget to feed your printer with some paper :)
hope this helps,
Christian

Very nice, Christian! How about a more difficult question? Check this out: How do you do exact the same thing, only this time with one other field (in my case either Comments or one of the Custom fields (I can copy comment to one of them), so I get a list of all the albums with their accompanying play list number.
That would be much appreciated since I have lost the Access database I used the last time and would need to create a new one. And I can't even remember how I made a database that only showed the Artists and Albums... ;D

Mastiff,
I think I would set up a smartlist with a rule such a [Track #]=1 to get only track ones of your albums hence one line per album in your lib.
Second step, I would customize the smartlist view so as to only keep, Artist, Album, Comment or whatever field you like.
Third step : File/Export Playlist, HTML is a nice format, check the 'Only Visible fields' option.
You should end up with a nicely formated html page in your browser that you can print.
Hope it helps,
Christian

Thanks! It actually helps a lot! The only problem is of course the compilation albums with multiple artists, but I can print out a separate list of tracks for those. I will try to experiment with this! I think you have just saved me a lot of work (which is why we all use MC, right?)! ;D ;D ;D
Edit: I had to do another one, [Track #]=<9 since I got more entries of every album that had more than 9 tracks (one entry for 10, one for 11 and so on). But it seems to be working!

Thanks again, it works! I have to do a few modifications and adjustments, but this really works! Thanks again, man! And thanks, JRiver for creating this great tool! ;D
