Title: Remove from playlist?
Post by: Yangus on April 29, 2003, 12:53:57 pm
I'm on 163. Two builds ago I could press 'delete' to remove a track from a playlist. Now, I have to remove it from the library or nothing.
What's the new way?

Thanks.

If you're in a playlist or playing now view, delete removes from the list.

In media library, it gives you the dialog.

Shift+[Delete] gives you the dialog everywhere.

Matt,

I'm in Task - no images smartlist. If I hit delete I get the dialogue box. Is this right?

Thanks.

You can't really remove files from a smartlist.

The smartlist is just a query like "metallica" or something.

The actual list of files is built dynamically based on the query.

So, you can change the query or remove a file from the library, but not really remove a file from a smartlist.

Hope that makes some sense.

Yes...deleting individual tracks from a Smartlist, ML (or any of it's sub-folders) will bring up the dialog...because they're dynamic (that is...filled by a formula). Removing an entry without interaction occurs in a Playlist only.
