Title: UND and UofM Ministry of Information
Post by: FightingSioux on April 28, 2003, 06:17:26 pm
I am a student at UND, (hence the big indian head to the left). Our School, like many other schools (including the U of M), has put up a firewall to prevent downloading music on programs such as KazAa. (while this angers me >:(, this is not the issue here.) One of the side effect is that they block out all FTP sites, making it hard to download Media Center updates. (even with an http://ftp.... adress). I would recomend setting up a purely HTTP:// download site for us poor students. If I want to download updates, I have to walk all the way to the library to do it. (dose not sound too bad, fine you try it in the middle of winter in Grand Forks, ND.) Just a thought. Glad every one like my last post.

Type http:// instead of ftp:// for the link.  It should work.
