Title: How do I play a movie from the beginning?

When I select a movie in Theater View is there a way to choose to start from the beginning? I am using a Harmony hub based remote and for some reason stop x 2 doesn't work. It would be great if when choosing the movie to have the option to resume or start from the beginning. If that option exists I can't find it.

Look at:
Options > General > Behavior > Resume playback using bookmarks

You could pick "Never" if you always want to start over from the beginning.

Stop twice (without any delay between) should work.

I don't always want to start from the beginning.

Stop, Stop isn't working using my remote. Don't know why.

I'm surprised that this isn't already part of MC. I thought for sure I was missing a setting somewhere.

It's possible a remote could convert two stops to one.

Feature request: Please add "Play from beginning" as an option in Theater View.

The feature is basically there.
Options > General > Behavior > Resume playback using bookmarks
There are 3 options:  Automatic, Never, Ask
If you select "Ask", you always get the choice in Theater View.

Thanks @mojave. That is exactly what I was looking for. I was only looking in the Theater View options because I was trying to make a change only in Theater View. Matt's post didn't mention the Ask option so I didn't look at the Options > General > Behavior > Resume playback using bookmarks.

I just want to say thanks as well Mojave. This was bugging me, especially with a young daughter who wants to keep watching over and over the same movie (obviously from the beginning). That just solves that issue.  ;D
