Title: Source format MP3 for Media Network Library [Solved - Edit the client]
Post by: hells on March 21, 2020, 01:56:39 pm
So despite it being a flac (and showing so in the file pane), when I highlight the output cog and look at audio path, it shows the source format as MP3. This is the case on every flac I've tested from the server so far. These exact flacs work (and show as flac) when played via a local library utilizing samba shares.

Any ideas? I disabled transcoding in the client options just to see, but that hasn't changed the format.

Thanks!

If you're using DLNA, check the server's settings for conversion.

I don't believe I'm using DLNA. I'm using the access key with authentication to have a central server keep a client (in this case on Windows) in sync.

Attaching a screenshot (censoring the access key and username for authentication)

Heh. Well I'm an idiot. I'm changing client settings on the server. Changing the transcode option on the actual _client_ worked as intended. Case closed  ;D
