Title: How to edit multiple file [composer] tags at once?
Post by: GeorgiaPine on March 22, 2020, 01:42:46 pm
I am new to this software. In MediaMonkey it is simple: You have say, 100 files labeled "Ludwig van Beethoven". You want to change them to "Beethoven, Ludwig van" instead, for basic alphabetization purposes.  So you simply select those 100 files, right click, edit properties, type the change in the COMPOSER box, and voila! It updates all 100 files instantly. Nice, huh! So please, how is it done in JRiver? It must be even easier, since this is such a superior software, yes?
Thanks in advance.

You should be able to do the same thing.

You can select what you want, then do Alt-Enter to bring up the tag window.

The wiki has a lot of information on tagging.

There are several ways.

You can select them and hit Alt+Enter to bring up the tag window.

You can select them and click the Tag button in the Action Window.

You can use Library Tools->Find & Replace to change whatever text in whatever field you want.
