Title: imported album track order
Post by: JDCummings on March 30, 2020, 05:25:19 pm
Every time I download new albums to my computer Media Center always imports them in alphabetical order instead of track order. How do I stop this and fix them hundreds of albums imported in the wrong track order?

Download or import?

Where are you looking in MC?

Views can be configured to show tracks in either order.   Try clicking on the Track # heading.

Thanks! This fixes it. "Try clicking on the Track # heading."
Well I thought it did: however it only did so for that album.
I don't want to have to go through every single album list and do that.
Isn't there a way to make that the default?
When I download albums from HDTracks or RIP them from CDs the files are in track order in file explorer.
When I go the play them in MC the files are listed and played in alphabetical order.

Well now that's weird.  Now they are all listed in track order.
I guess it just took a while for them all to be reordered!
Thanks for your help!

It is the default.

Where are you looking?

I'm looking at the lists under Audio in MC.
But, as I said they are all in track order now.
As to the default I never purposefully changed the order to alphabetical and I've used MC for many years.
Every edition I've had has listed the tracks in alphabetical order.  I just finally got tired of it.
Anyway you solved my problem and I'm very grateful.
I figured it was something simple but I never found anything about it in the help section so I finally decided to ask someone.
Thanks
