Greetings,
I use MC for Android on my phone, mainly for local music (on SD card).
I recently started to use Panel on my smart TV, connecting to my MC server.
Both seem to share the same UI.
Is it possible to create custom library views for either/both of them ?
Example : I would really like to be able to select an audio genre, but then have a flat list of songs by name, not the hierarchical Artist/Album/Name.
Thank you.

You can create your own view schemes for Panel. To do this, got to Tools -> Options -> Media Network. Under Advanced, select Customize views for JRemote, Gizmo & Panel. For now, you cannot modify the view scheme for JRiver for Android, unless you're loading a library. Then it will use the configured view schemes for that library. Also keep in mind that changes made here don't take effect until Media Center and the media server are restarted.

Another vote/reason why the "VIEW>USER" function in MC needs to be revamped for PC Clients, and have the ability to be applied to JRemote, Gizmo, Panel, Android. Changing the current method of simply "following" the Server's USER at startup, would solve so many requests/problems like this.

...
Cool, halfway there!
Any way I can sort the result by Name?
edit: To load such a modified library into Android, I suppose I would create an empty one in Windows, modify the scheme for Panel, then somehow find a way to import that empty library in my phone's MC. How should I proceed to import that (empty) library in Android?
Thank you Brad.

To do that, select the custom view scheme you created and click on Set rules for file display. Under Modify Results, select Sort By, then click Add -> Ascending (A - Z) -> Name.

You can't copy a library to Android because it's in a location that is locked on most devices. You can load a library server from the app, but then you're playing files imported to the library server and not the local files on the phone.
