Title: iPod used to work, now crashes MC9
Post by: yonkiman on April 25, 2003, 07:13:05 am
Hi,

The last time I successfully synced my iPod to MC9 was about 2 months ago, with whatever the current versions of MC9 and the iPod plugin were.

Since I started trying to update my iPod's songs about a week ago, MC9 (all versions released in the last week) crashes the second I right OR left click on the CD, DVD, Handhelds/G: icon (G: is my iPod).

I've tried all variations of uninstalling the iPod plug in, removing the plugin entry from the registry, uninstalling and reinstalling MC9, updating the plugin from the web site, but I still get a "Media Jukebox.e.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows" just for clicking on the drive.

Windows Explorer has no problem accessing the iPod and all the directories look fine.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Fred

Have you tried running the iPod updater on your iPod or formatting the iPod from Windows?  Either of these will cause all your data on iPod to be erased, but will hopefully solve your problem.

That seemed to work (I reloading as a type).  Thanks!
