Title: Previous-track button behavior...
Post by: dwex on April 25, 2003, 06:19:30 am
MJ8 had this issue, and I've recently switched to MC9, and it still has this issue...

On every other media player I've tried, and all physical devices I have access to, if a track is playing, the Previous Track button actually jumps back to the start of the track. It only jumps to the previous track when either nothing is playing, or you click it twice when something is playing.

Can an MJ/MC option for this behavior be added?

I know I can implement this myself in a mini-me skin via scripting the button behaviors, but I don't think I can do it in mega-me, and I don't want to have to alter all mini-me skins that I play with just to add this

Thanks

Is clicking the position slider too bad of a solution?

We're getting close to release of 9.0, and this is too big of a change for this version.

Thanks for understanding.

That doesn't work for mini-me; seems to need a double-click (maybe that's a bug).

Yeah, I know how that works. I never got annoyed enough with it in MJ8.0 to do the scripting for my own mini-me skins, so it's not a huge bother. But it is different from every other player app I've used...

Funny how things change.  I also complained about this in v8 when I first got it, and had requested it be changed to work like all other players.

But now I like it better than other players.

So I want to keep it working like it does, but an option to have it both ways would be great too.
