Title: MC 25 movies freeze after 11 seconds [Solved]
Post by: Kitrods on May 06, 2020, 09:08:17 pm
So I have had JRiver for years.  Started with 17 I think..

Just starting to use video. Built a 32g ram MSI Z390 with a 970 golden video card. 2TB ssd and 240 M2 on the mother board just for pcu.

It has to be windows 10 but can't roll back because new 10 install and no restore points.

Oh btw using 25 because 26 gave me message ...

Installed on incorrect operating system.

And I checked twice and reinstalled twice to be sure I was not doing something wrong.

You may have a problem with the machine.  Try configuring Windows Defender (thread here).  Don't  use other antivirus.

So I got that sorted out and it must have been some update. Loaded DVDs playback with no issue but Blurays rip but will not play. I got a message Failed playback load anyDVD HD or passkey. Any details to this would be greatly appreceiated. Its been a long road loading my movies. Music was cake

So its gotten better but some movies freeze 5 min in then start another movie. I have had to delete many titles and reload them.

It's unlikely to be a Windows 10 problem.

What are you using to rip Blu-ray discs?  Did you read the topic?

Are you playing them locally?  Or is a network involved?

That you couldn't  install MC26 is odd.  Could be a clue.

On a new machine, it's possible you have a loose connection or a driver problem.
