Title: Television setup, Scanning channels
Post by: Alphaboy101 on May 15, 2020, 07:46:57 am
Hope someone can help.

I'm trying to set up my DVB-S/S2 tv tuner (Hauppauge HVR 4000) for use with MC26.

I get through everything to the scan channels part, and it completes and finds 0 channels. The scan completes in less than 1 minute.

This card works fine in other applications, but not in MC26 (Nextpvr, Mediaportal, WinTV)

Even after resetting all TV setup settings, I still can't scan any channels.

Anyone able to provide any clues as to why?

BTW, running Windows 10 Pro ver 1909

Did you check the satellite frequency table and verified that they are up to date?

Yes, everything is as it should be. It is set to receive from the Astra satellite @28.2E. I follow the whole set up process through to the scanning section and it finishes saying 0 channels. It doesn't even appear to scan.

Right-click Television, select "Manage Devices...".  Select a tuner, click Configure... button.

Try checking the checkbox "The tuner requires using Symbols per second, instead of KiloSymbols per second".

If that box is already checked, try unchecking it.

If that still does not help, turn on logging, restart MC, and repeat the channel scanning process.  Email the log to me.  yaobing at jriver
