One Of the Four Securities at Work Is Getting Married, And I Would Like to know what everyone thinks would be good music for a wedding and reception.
so what do you think is good music?

My wife suggests:
'Ban Marriage' from 'Ban Marriage' by 'Hidden Cameras' on Media Center 9.0
-
mhorton is being bad again.
Love Potion #9 would be kinky.
Moon River would be nice.
I heard "Blue Moon" the other night by the Cowboy Junkies, and I was instantly 13 again, at the outdoor ballroom in Antelope Park. I think I was really in love with cars then.

Hmmmm,
I used to DJ weddings a while back and my two favo(u)rites for the opening dance are:
Shania Twain - From This Moment On
Anne Murray - Could I Have This Dance (the one with the lyrics something like "Can I Dance With You For The Rest Of My Life")
Generally it worked out better if the couple chose these types of songs themselves.....a good way for the DJ to stay out of trouble (bad memories, exes, etc, etc)

Kiss Me Tender by Elvis.
That's what all Women want (I think) ?
-
I have a couple of friends who's song is "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails.
And they're not even what I would consider all that... freaky or anything. They're so normal.
-

Shirley Horn: Here's To Life
Justin Hawyard: The Best Is Yet To Come
Pablo Cruise: In My Own Quiet Way
Nylons: The Stars Are Ours Tonight
Billy Joel: You're My Home
Bryan Adams: Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman

Listening to: 'Someone Like You' from 'One Fine Day' by 'Van Morrison' on Media Jukebox
-----
I've been searching a long time
For someone exactly like you
I've been travelling all around the world
Waiting for you to come through.
Someone like you makes it
All worth while
Someone like you keeps
Me satisfied. Someone exactly
Like you.
I've been travellin' a hard road
Lookin' for someone exactly like you
I've been carryin' my heavy load
Waiting for the light to come
Shining through.
Someone like you makes it
All worth while
Someone like you keeps
Me satisfied. Someone exactly
Like you.
I've been doin' some soul searching
To find out where you're at
I've been up and down the highway
In all kinds of foreign lands
Someone like you... [etc.]
I've been all around the world
Marching to the beat of a different
Drum.
But just lately I have
Realised
The best is yet to come.
Someone like you...
