Title: Am I using the correct devices.
Post by: AlexS on May 19, 2020, 11:33:54 am
Hello

I'm in the UK using Freeview/DVB and a BGT3620 card which is a dual DVB-T/T2 tuner.

I'm just curious. Any idea what all these options are? Did I select the right two? It's working...

Thanks...!

The devices in the list are all  for your BGT3620.  I would call these "virtual devices".  Your device is a dual tuner one, two tuners for you to use.  You can record programs from two TV channels simultaneously.  Since you use it for DVB-T, you made the correct selection.  It is a little confusing that your device is said to be capable of handling DVB-C tuning.  My understanding is, this is a hybrid device, meaning you can use it either for DVB-T OR for DVB-C, but not both simultaneously (there is only one physical input connector, so you can't simultaneously hook it to an antenna and to a cable TV connector).
