Hi Community,
I am relatively new here.
Got MC recently with the plan to use it as digital XO in my system.
Output via exu2i board via ASIO driver.
I have got to the DSP Studio
Output Format
- Set the source frequency rate unchanged until 352.800
- Set output to 4 or 5.1 channels
Parametric Equalizer
- Copy Left to Center
- Copy Left to SL
- Copy Right to Sub
- Copy Right to SR
When I am starting playback of my 2ch files, I expect that I will get my channels cloned and will have 6x output channels.
However MC says that it is unable to play 2ch file over 4 or 6 channels and switches back to 2ch mode.
Error Message+
Playback could not be started using the format: 192KHZ 64bit 6ch
This format would work: 192 KHZ 64 bit 2ch
Would you like to have your DSP Studion -> .......
This happens to lower frequencies as well.
If you have any thoughts on this would be happy to hear them :)
Thanks in advance and enjoy the music !

Dear aradan, may I ask you what is the exu2i board and how is your pc sound device connected with your amplifier?
-
OK. I think I found it. There was a limit of channels active in the usb card. I have set it to 8 and now can get all the channels through.
@The Big Labinski.
The exa USB to I2S board was offered by exa devices in the early days when they shared their components with diy community.
They are doing multi channel dacs (https://www.exasound.com/) now
I just tested the multi channel usb first. It has a software which shows, the active channels.
The Multi Channel XO is done in MC.
Than streamed to 3x dual mono DDDACs (http://www.dddac.com/)( 3 boards each).
Than goes through multi way pre-amplifier based on BPBP boards (https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/analog-line-level/279382-bppbp-bruno-putzeys-purist-balanced-preamp-balanced-volume-control.html)
Into Pass M2 Clones -from DIY Audio Store

WOW aradan, you have a unique sound setup. I’m not the audiophile guy as you.

Hahaha thank you. Its not about the system, but what it brings us right :) as long as it is fun

EDIT: I see that you found the problem, but you probably want it set to "2 channels (inside 7.1 container)" for this, rather than 8 channels.
