Quick question: is there an original artist field? Something that functions that way?
Use case: covers. I don't put the OA's in the [Artist] field because, while they originally wrote the work, they did not perform the new rendition.
I've been using [Author] for this in the meantime, but I get the impression that was really meant for things like books.

Although MC currently does not have an "Original Artists" field/tag there is nothing stopping you from adding it yourself, however since that is a tag/field that is not normally used/present on most commercially produced CD's it is a field/tag that you would have to enter/maintain manually.
