Hi MC26 keeps crashing everytime I try to run a SMARTLIST called 'All Missing Files'
please help or fix
-
Is it crashing (MC window disappears) or freezing? Finding missing files in the entire library can take a long time and freeze the UI while it happens.
-
First it freezes then it crashes

If Windows says it's "unresponsive" that doesn't mean it has crashed.
I'm not saying it isn't crashing on your system, but finding missing files can take several minutes on a large library and look like it's frozen.
I'd consider a crash in MC to be when the window closes/disappears out of the blue.

This is exactly what happens MC closes and I have to restart MC to be able to work in the application again

Make sure you don't have a missing disk somewhere in your settings.
-
I did a quick check and all my settings point to existing locations/disks

Try limiting auto import to certain folders or certain filetypes to see if you can find what doesn't work.
-
I don't think that is a standard Smartlist. It isn't in my Reference Library.
How have you defined it? What Rules, Expression, etc.

That would have to be a new test library, I can check of course however it needs to work on my large database

I think the OP is referring to the Audio -- Task -- Missing Files smartlist which is working fine for my library, but then again ......
