Title: Convert, Analyze Audio greyed out, tags not saving.
Post by: chip11under on June 03, 2020, 10:43:51 am
Win 10 64bit
Intel Core i7  Coffee Lake
32 GB ram
Alienware laptop

JRiver MC 26.0.80

Since last update I can't Convert Format or Analyze Audio, both are grey. I also noticed that none of the tags I tried to change saved. I thought it was a rights issue or something so I re installed this version of MC and still an issue, made sure to "yes" the Windows AOC prompt.

Analyze audio turns off in party mode.  So double-check the View menu.

I don't use the Party Mode and it was prompting for a password.

It is also not a drive specific issue, moved the files between a m2 ssd and a hybrid 2.5mm hd

The only things that disable analyze audio are party mode or being connected to a library server.

Ah, I did do that.

I connected to another PC's library server to listen to music from that server to my laptop recently.

Now that does explain that.  Can I get back the ability to edit local laptop files while connected to the other PC server?

I really don't use it to play tunes on the laptop but would like to have the ability to change tags and fomat before sending off to other devices.

Do I just drop the library from the laptop client of the other PC's server?

Or some other setting, not sure where to go, priority is editing local files over server client.  Confused.  Thanks so much.
