How do you manage?
Do you import them in MC first and you work on tags ,sleeves and so on?
Or do you work on it in another program ,importing the files latter when you have finish?
If you import them in MC first ,do you have a way to 'isolate' them to work on it ?
I start to have a large number and it is heavy to have to scroll and so on in MC.
I do not say that it is a MC problem ,because it is not. Just the problem to import 1000 new files every second day when you have already XXX thousands

Zevele, just in case it is of help. I have some 30.000 tracks now and adding an average of 300/day.
I tag some of the files with MusicMatch first before importing them to MJ, change the cover art and put the one from amazon.com (the large version of the cover) which in my opinion displays better in MJ cause it's bigger than the one from MusicMatch or allmusic.com.
I import then the files into MJ, go to "recently imported", reverse the seq. order to have the latest first, select the new files and "send them to" a playlist named "tagging works". Then I work on tagging, covers, renaming, genres, etz. This allows me to isolate the new tracks to work with them comfortably.
Optionally, once a complete album is tagged I send it to "Playing Now" "add to end" and n.1 random file of the album to "Playing now" "next to play".
I also have a smart-list named "new releases" which is populated by the "recently imported" playlist with a condition of "number plays" = 0. This allows me to always have a smartlist containing the tracks that I haven't played yet. I have set the "recently imported" playlist to NOT clear after exit.
Hope this helps.
Regards.

YES, look like a very good way.
I use MM SuperTag as well , but i keep the sleeves for 2 raisons:
- I'am lazy
- All friends and family in France use MM
After importing the songs in MJ ,i use 'incomplete albums , no pictures ,' from AutoSmartList but i use again MM to complete-i told you ...lazy-
I will from now do as you do concerning MC.
Thank you

I also use the large Amazon pictures when they're available. When not, I scan the album cover. (NOTE: it would be nice if we could specify a default graphic for MC to use when there is no album cover). Typically, with downloaded files, I'll play the file from Explorer (double-click) to make sure that I want to keep it, then I'll right-click and import from Playing Now. Then I go to Recently Imported, tag the file, and use Tools/Move or Tools/Rename from Properties to move the file to its permanent location.

In fact you can set a default picture to use when no cover art is present... at least you can with MJ8 and I'm sure it's the same in MC9.
In MJ8 locate the file "Mediajukebox.gif" in folder JRiver->Data->WebPages and rename it to Mediajukebox2 (for instance). Then take any gif file and name it "Mediajukebox.gif" and voilą... your default image for non-cover art tracks 8)
Now, in MC9 the name of the file and the folder will probably be different. Check your folders in MC9.

Another tip:
If you use MP3Utility for checking the quality of your songs ,you can set it as an external tool and use it from inside MC ,the same for EncSpot
Right click on a song ==send to [exernal]==Add/Edit program.
Set to MP3Utility et voila!
The program is set to be used when you want
