I have a problem with crashes on some .mkv files. This has happened through several versions of JRiver. Computer is late 2013 15’ MacBook Pro. I7, quad core, 16gb Ddr3, GeForce gt750m discrete graphics and iris internal. O/S Catalina but crashed on previous o/s versions. Getting a bit problematic.
Crash report attached.

Does it happen in the latest 26.0.87 build? There were video changes in 26.0.82.

Looking at the crash, there is indeed a good chance this is fixed in 26.0.87. Please give that a try!

Sorry for the delay, And thank you both 👍 I wanted to try it out a bit. Well, it is much harder to crash now. A particularly crash-prone series that used to crash if I looked at it (many Used to if you try to pause or move through the file) I got to crash eventually and I enclose that report. First trials though are positive, what do you make of the reason this time?

Thanks, thats quite a different issue now, in cleanup on stop, and no longer during playback. Will investigate that area more thoroughly tomorrow.

Thanks. That explains it. Scrubbing and moving the file didn’t cause problems and it crashed when I stopped play. In fairness when I stopped another few times it didn’t crash! I’ll check more files today and see how it goes on others. Thanks again 👍

Extensive testing of other files has yet to cause another crash 😁👍
