Title: Theater View Scaling
Post by: wer on June 16, 2020, 01:09:11 am
There seems to have been a change made to scaling or sizing in theater view.

For years, I have run at 130% "size" which gave me 7 tiles (movie posters) across the screen. All of a sudden, everything is a bit smaller, and I was getting 8 tiles across, even though the size was still set to 130%.

I had to change size to 140% to get the same 7-across layout I've had for years with 130%.

Can someone shed some light on this please?

I'm afraid there was not any change.

What could cause the change in sizing that I saw?  There's no mistaking 8 fitting on a row vs 7.

It does interact with the Windows Display Scaling (the overall Windows 10 UI size control). Did you change anything there? Or did you update any drivers? I've also noticed that my Display Scaling on my HTPC gets reset when I update my Nvidia video card drivers.

Windows 7, not 10. No display scaling or driver changes.

Odd. Windows 7 has the UI scaling as well, of course, it just works a little differently. I bet it has something to do with display scaling or fonts though. That's usually what makes it change.

Simple enough to check and see if it was an unintended change in MC though. Just roll back to earlier versions and see if it goes back the way it was.
