Title: MC 26 keeps Freezing Up on my MAC !!!

I have the latest version of MC26.0.87 downloaded to my iMAC Pro.  All of the sudden the program freezes up, stops, can‘t be resized and just doesn‘t respond.  I‘ve removed and reloaded 5 times today. Works fine for 3 CDs then starts the same issues over and over.  I am very close to deleting and b=never using again (after years of really liking JRiver MC).  HELP !!!!! ?

Going to need more information.

1) What version of macOS are you using?

2) Does MC freeze up immediately upon starting, or does it do it when doing certain things? Or is it random?

3) Have you tried leaving MC while it appears frozen, perhaps it'll come out of it? This could potentially happen, I suppose, if auto-import, analysis and/or thumbnail building was happening in the background.

To tack on to Awesome Donkey's post, you might try turning on Activity monitor (Applications->Utilities) and see if MC is using a lot of CPU or disk when it appears to be non-responsive.
