Title: Metadata not recognized after a fresh install?

After a fresh install of build 155 importing MP3 files with MC metadata in them causes metadata not being recognized. After downloading the MP3 encoder the metadata are recognized.
Is it so by design? If so I think it should work differently: handling metadata should be part of the standard download.

By 'fresh install' I mean installing MC for the first time in a PC.

Don't know what happened.  If you have tags in the files, MC will read them without installing the encoder.
