Title: MC26 - Cannot Import any FLAC Files

Hello,

This is the first time I have ever come across this...

I have setup MC26 on my laptop with an external HDD containing all my audio (FLAC) files.
I have cleared all libraries even though there should not be any.
I then set up a new library called FLACs.
I go to Import Single Folder and select the path (M:\FLACs).... and nothing happens.
The only option is to hit Finish at the bottom of the import window.
The result: 0 Files imported.

Any suggestions most appreciated.

If this is a New/Clean Installation then MC may have already imported those Flac files - hence the zero count when you told it to import a single folder. In the Tree select Smartlists >> All Files (empty search) to see if MC added them during it's initial search.

No, in my Smartlists the entries are all empty.

I have over 12,000 files to import and they usually take several minutes to import so I would have noticed it.

The problem was permissions.

For some reason my external drive needed Administrator privileges to access it's files (first time ever!)

Changed file permissions and now importing ok.
