Can JRiver play DXD files? Before I buy them, just want to make sure I will be able to play it back.
-
The best way to find out is to download MC and run it in the 30 day free trial (which is fully featured and not limited in any way) and see if it works.
-
I already have MC. I don't have any DXD files and would rather not risk spending money on them if MC can't play them.
Also, can we get the space back after semi-colons in the Soloist column??
-
Or is DXD just an FLAC file?
-
DXD is just a PCM (FLAC/ALAC/APE/WAV etc.) file at 352.8 kHz. And yes, JRiver can play those beautifully.
You can always try for yourself, here you can download free files to test, including DXD: http://www.2l.no/hires/
Enjoy.

Yes, MC can play dxd files but your DAC and the associated drivers must support the format. Crosscheck it for mac because sometimes mac and windows driver differ.
