I am attempting to gain access to System Settings within Panel, but am not able to remember my password.  Is there a way to reset this?

Delete the picture - it contains your library access key.

I'm sorry for what is likely a silly question, but how does one "Set up authentication again on the server."?

It's easy, in MC's Options > Media Network section under the Access Key option click on the Authentication checkbox to uncheck it, then check it again and it'll prompt you for a new username/password. :)
