Title: Inconsistencies in relational "one per genre" library field
Post by: DangerJP on July 22, 2020, 07:42:13 am
Hi,

In MC 26.0.49, this feature was added :
NEW: Added the relational type of one per genre to library fields.

In my setup (MC 26.0.101 64 bits), I created the field [Genre Description], which should store one genre description for each [Genre] in my library.

For example, I've assigned a [Genre Description] to [Genre]=Balearic Beat, but it seems like a hit or miss: [Genre Description] is correct for some files, while empty for others (see attached image).

Is there something I'm missing ?

Thanks !

What if you set it again on the blank files?  It won't populate on import, and maybe that's what happened?  You set it, then imported more files?

Hi Matt,

This is it. Thanks!

I didn't realize relational fields won't populate when I import new files.

Matt,

It seems that relational fields related to Artist will populate when new files are imported.
Can you confirm ?

We don't do any field populating on import for relational fields at the present.
