Title: SurroundMusic. One Won't Play on JRiver Streaming
Post by: ric982 on July 23, 2020, 05:33:30 pm
Trying unsuccessfully to stream music from:
https://surroundmusic.one/streaming/

I have a 5.1 WDM (ASIO Bridge) as my default Windows 10 audio device.
This site above opens and can plays 5.1 OK through a browser (Firefox) to the WDM.

I added it as a Streaming channel to JRiver 26.0.98.
- It did not create an "Icon" to click on on the streaming window (it is checked in the pull down under Streaming> Featured Sites) - Secondary issue?
- It did show up in the list of channels on the menu pull down in navigation.

If I click on it there, it goes to the web site. If I try to select a play button on music they have on that page (don't pick the first one it seems not to work on a regular browser), I get a message where the progress bar would be that says:

Error: Unsupported Audio Type or Invalid File Path

There is a link under the progress bar (looking at the 2nd under Markus Reuter that says "Live in Morelia 2016 Teaser". Properties for the link say:
Protocol: Hyper Text Transfer Protocol with Privacy
Type: Not available
Address (URL): https://surroundmusic.one/album/live-in-morella-2016/

Possible problem with JRiver or something I set up wrong?
I was able to play some stereo music from YouTube on the streaming page.
