Title: crashing
Post by: gbates on April 19, 2003, 10:26:19 am
Can anybody advise  why this fault now renders
mc9 completely unuseable to me.
Each time i try to play a track the system crashes and i have to close the prog down.

"MEDIA JUKEBOX caused an invalid page fault in
module MP3ICONTROL.DLL at 0177:044a1cbd.

It might help to know who produced MP3ICONTROL.DLL, and thus (hopefully) what program it's associated with. Perhaps if you did a search for it on your system and noted its location, and got its file properties (right click > properties) and posted them in this thread.

I checked for this file on my system, running MC 9, but could not find a file with that name.

if you go to MJ, Help, System Info, and paste that info into your message maybe someone can help.

you could:

Reboot
Uninstall MC9
then remove c:\program files\J River
reinstall

see what happens, normaly this will fix this.

and I also think there may be a problem with Visuals (Like Slideshow),  and MC9

I had a problem with that and the only way to play music was to delete it. then the program would work again.

Thanks I have done all this and the programme now responds well.Iam now back to where I was several days ago and will now  proceed to install Lyric finder and a couple of other plug ins but not mp3i which really trashed my setup here.
Also because the auto music search lists every single instance of say*.wav files I found that all the game files were listed and had to be delisted -same with mp3.So I had the auto search list zero and manually lidentified the folders to list.
thanks again
