Title: Filtering or tagging songs that are "explicit" via metadata
Post by: filmfan214 on August 07, 2020, 01:35:33 pm
I like to play music from my JRiver playlists over speakers in my house, but I have a toddler and want to filter songs that contain explicit lyrics (e.g., curse words or other adult content). Currently, I'm doing this by listening to my music and adding "explicit" in the Keyword metadata field whenever I notice that the lyrics are more adult oriented. I then have "Family Friendly" playlists that copy my other playlists but are limited to songs not containing that "explicit" keyword.

Is there a better way to do this? The problem with my current methodology is that I have to listen (and pay attention) to each song and manually tag it. I'm wondering if there is any way for some kind of automated lookup and tagging of songs that contain explicit lyrics. I know that you can buy "explicit" and non-explicit versions of albums sometimes, so it seems like there would be metadata for this.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
