Title: PCM Frequency
Post by: Chrispy58 on August 17, 2020, 09:06:18 am
Hi All,
I a using an Asus essence STX II which allows me to change frequency of the output audio.
On 44.1 everything works fine
On 48.0 almost everything works fine
On 96.0 I get huge dropouts but the music that does play seems improved
On 192.0 I get the odd blip here and there.

On JRiver the audio out set to WASAPI
Using high frequency Flac recordings I though I would be able to use at least 96k
but as I say above I am getting huge dropouts.
I am using an Audiolab Dac via an optical SPdif and AE1 Active speakers

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Chris

I just downloaded the manual for your sound card:

Quote
ASIO 2.0 Driver Support
Supports 44.1K/48K/96K/192KHz @16/24bit with very low latency

Make sure you have the latest drivers installed.  It is Version 8.1.11.5 dated 2019/12/25.

If you are still facing this issue, try ASIO instead of WASAPI through Media Center.
