Under TV options->Advanced Properties there is a Deinterlacing option. When I select that I get the message "Deinterlacing filter is not available. Please make sure it is installed on your system".
How / where do I get a de-interlacing filter? TV looks pretty crappy since it is not de-interlaced. I have an ATI TV Wonder VE, and Mediacenter 9.0.154.
Thanks,
Barthold

You can get it here:
ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/tmp/deinterlace.ax
Put it in the MC program directory and register it.

Yaobing;
>> ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/deinterlace.ax <<
Get the following message when I click on the above link..
"550 deinterlace.ax: No such file or directory.
File not found"
Any ideas?

Thanks John;
The link now works.
I downloaded the file but what do I do with it? Windows does not like it... get a message saying "Windows cannnot open the file".

One more question...
I'm running an ATI A-I-W 7500 video card with digital cable & the picture is already pretty good.
What is the deinterlace filter supposed to do?

To deinterlace.ax on your system, try execute
regsvr32 C:\Folder\deinterlace.ax
(substitute your own drive and folder).
For ATI AIW cards, the deinterlace filter does not do you any good. It does not work with ATI cards except TV Wonder series.

Thanks.

Cool, thanks all. I'll try it out tonight once I'm home!

Well, installed the de-interlacing filter. It seems to work fine when watching live video, but does not always work when time shifting.
I have a dual monitor setup, my left one is an ATI RAGE XL PCI, which does not de-interlace when time shifting. My right monitor is a Geforce4 4200 Ti, which does de-interlace fine when time shifting. The difference is easily visible dragging the video window from one monitor to the other. Weird!
