Title: Remove duplicate entries of exactly the same file in database?
Post by: merocet2 on September 28, 2020, 07:17:10 am
After a failed sync with an external media player, my JRiver database is now showing identical entries of the same exact files all the way down to filename path. On the disk in windows an album will have 8 tracks. In Media Center it will have 16 with each track listed twice, no (1) at the end of the filename path. Exactly the same darn file.

Is there a way to repair the database such that it rescans the directories and corrects itself which doesn't screw up any curated playlists I may have?

You could restore a backup.  MC makes them automatically.

Perfect. That worked. Thanks!
