Title: Upgrade annoying announcement

How can I get rid of the annoying announcement in the lower left corner? I have decided to not upgrade so can we leave it at that? It is cheap looking to send the announcement saying there is a paid upgrade to MC27. Which there clearly is not. It makes MC looking like some cheap android toy app.

Then disable automatic updates.

So I have to choose updates or advertising? Never see this before in previous years.

There probably won't be any more updates for MC26 now.  And yes, we've done this before.
