I keep getting a Media Core crash every time I press the stop button on a video file that is playing in the Media Center.
So far, this is a repeatable problem with any file.
Here are the details of the crash:
Media Core has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
AppName: media jukebox.exe AppVer: 9.0.149.0 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 001b1fe9
I am running Windows XP SP1.

It is happening if I try to fast forward or rewind too. It also happens if I let it play to completion also.

That was reported a few days ago. Are you using the latest version? What is it?
You can paste your system info here by going to MC Help.

I just found the fix. I have 9.0.151 now.
Sorry, I didn't know there was an update because I was checking from inside the program for updates and 9.0.150 and 9.0.151 never showed up there.
When I started looking back in the forums I found the direct links.
By the way...EXCELLENT PROGRAM! You guys are incredible.
Is this going to replace Media Jukebox, or will it be maintained as a separate product?
-
Thank you. They are two different programs. We found, when we asked, that people who used MJ were divided on whether it should add more media options, so we split the product. MJ is all music. MC is all Media.
Now we have to work on "one remote".

I was able to recreate the Media Core dump in 9.0.151. I record a few seconds of video from my TV Tuner and when I play it back it crashes just like it did with 9.0.149.
Except this time it crashes towards the end of the recording, not when I click on buttons and such.
