Title: Canīt use youtube in the newest MC 26 and MC 27 with Mac OSX 10.15.6 and 10.15.7
Post by: Stacl on October 07, 2020, 11:00:46 am
Hello,
when I open youtube in MC 27.0.20 or MC 26.0.107 with Mac OSX 10.15.6 and 10.15.7 youtube is not working.

A few weeks ago, youtube did work very well in MC 26.0.107 with Mac OSX 10.15.6

And now it is switching between light mode and dark mode and light mode and dark mode ... and so on and I can not use it.

In the last months I noticed during using youtube in MediaCenter, that there was the info, that I was using an old browser and that youtube would soon not support such an old browser.

Do you habe the same problem as I with your youtube in MediaCenter?

Or is the problem caused by another fact?

Thanks
Best regards
Steffen

There's a chance it may not work if the Chromium Embedded Framework (aka CEF) engine within MC is outdated. There's always a chance YouTube might just outright block CEF from accessing YouTube. YouTube is already blocking YouTube logins in CEF, so it wouldn't shock me.

MC on Mac does not use Chromium, it uses Apples web browser control. If YouTube refuses to work with the system browser on your Mac, there is little we can do about that quickly.

www.youtube.com does work with Safari and does work with the newest Firefox on my Mac.

Only the youtube in MediaCenter is not working.
