Title: Misbehaving on install
Post by: terri ball on October 08, 2020, 04:23:59 am
Is it really necessary to break all existing media file app defaults when installing (a new version of) MC, even if all file types are deselected on install?  >:(

MC doesn't "break" anything.  Set up File Types in MC and File Associations in Windows.  Google File Associations to learn more.

I think the point is that the file association settings from MC 26 do not carry over when a new install of MC 27 is done.

It should.  Are you sure?  Did MC27 find your old library?
