Hi,

Each new song asks me to authenticate to Last.FM. I'm curious how I can make these settings stick?

I believe Last FM was having connection problems.

Yes, they've been having connection issues for the last few days. I'd recommend disabling the scrobbling feature until last.fm fixes their servers.
