Title: QOL Request
Post by: Napalm44 on October 10, 2020, 06:43:07 am
A small quality of life request :)

When a file thats included in a playlist gets moved or deleted, is it possible for MC to still list the entry, maybe in a different colour to show there's a problem?

I listen to a lot of new music, and I'm often moving folders. Sometimes I'm left looking at a playlist thinking 'I'm sure abc-xyz was here somewhere', then maybe I notice something else is missing....... and I'm always left thinking that maybe other new stuff I added has gone before I had chance to get familiar with it.

Cheers :)

Moving from within MC should prevent that problem.

The tool called Rename, Move & Copy is one way.

You can also  drag and drop in MC's Explorer.  It's under Drives and Devices.

Having to do everything from inside MC is not really something I want to do - windows does file operations well, and I'm used to doing all my renaming, searching and moving files that way. (I also have a dedicated program I use for tagging). MC is a great music player, and that's really all I want to use it for :)
