Title: Hairstyle suggestions
Post by: NoCodeUK on April 15, 2003, 03:24:45 pm
New Hairstyle is much better.  Almost perfect... but...

Here are a few suggestions to improve it even more.  I am not putting all of these forward for 9.0.  Simply suggestions for the future of HS as we know it :)

And thats all for now :D

Adam

PS These are just my suggestions.  I am in no way knocking what you have already done.  HS is starting to look really sweet and could definitely be killer!!

Keep up the great work!

I too think the new hairstyle is great. Fantastic, actually! I love the look and the cover in the bottom right corner. But can it be modified to show playing now info (time, track and so on) in the playing now part of it? That would be really cool! I sort of need my counter going...  ;D

Oh yes, and direct access buttons to Media Library and Playing now wouldn't hurt either... Or maybe just make "Ctrl+2" jump to Playing now in Hairstyle as well?

The buttons for navigation?  Any chance they could be made 32x32?  I have designed some nice buttons but when they are shrunk down to 16x16 they look awful!!

So far, it'd seem that PIP is a misnomer.  It's not a picture inside another picture (unless you consider Hairstyle a "picture"), but rather a "preview pane" (or view pane, if you're done navigating) that is essential to using the Hairstyle as a navigation tool.

I wouldn't think you could easily get rid of a "preview" function and still use Hairstyle to its fullest.

Is there any plans to make the preview/view pane actually PIP?  I mean, like watching the Playing Now in the view pane, with a small PIP preview pane to continue navigation or whatever?
