Title: Do you need to eject a portable player before disconnecting it?

It's been a while since I used JRiver with my portable and it looks like some things have changed. Previously when you connected a portable to the PC and it was recognized by JRiver you would have to  select the "Eject" option in JRiver to disconnect it from the application before actually removing the portable itself. I don't see the eject option any more. What do I need to do to safely disconnect my player from JRiver (and my PC)? I'm running MC 25.
