I have a mini pc Minix Neo X83 running windows 10 2004 which I have upgraded to JRiver 27 . I cannot open a video anymore . It says "failed connecting video decoder". I have uninstall and reinstall JRver 27 but still the same problem.
I have thus reinstall JRiver 26 and videos are playing again. Settings are the same.
What would make JRiver 27 uncompatible with this Minix ?

It's probably failing to download the needed components. Follow the advice in the Windows Defender thread here.

Thanks for your answer Jim but I have tried to exclude JRiver 27 program folder or even disable comptletely defender but it has not help. Curiously 26 was not installed before as I have upgraded from 25 to 27 first. I have installed for the first time 26 after noticing that 27 was not working and 26 works. There is thus something weird coming from 27.
I have installed 27 to a few other computers and do not got this problem. ?

Still possible that it's security software blocking MC's download.
In MC's Video settings, try toggling hardware acceleration.
