Title: Any way to activate a third party plugin automatically only for certain files?

I want to be able to activate a third party plugin only when a certain audio format is played(surround) then turn off when a stereo file is played. Is this at all possible?

What about when transcoding? I transfer my music collection to my phone from lossless to lossy. Any way to activate certain VST's automatically when 5.1 files are being transcoded?

No idea.  You'll have to try it.
